Why is my screen recording blurry?
Find the first stage where the text becomes soft: the original capture, the export or the embedded player. Changing export settings will not restore detail that was never captured.
Recording fixesFix text that is too small in a demo video
Improve framing before adding more resolution. Show the part of the interface that proves the point, and check it at the size where people will actually watch.
Recording fixesRemove black bars from a screen recording
Black bars usually indicate that the source and display frame have different shapes, or that bars were already included in the source. Decide whether to crop, preserve the full frame or record in a different layout.
Recording fixesFix a choppy software screen recording
Separate capture stutter from playback stutter. If frames are already missing in the original, a different player or export cannot recover the exact interaction that was lost.
Recording fixesScreen recording audio out of sync: find the drift
Check whether the sound has a constant offset or gradually drifts away from the picture. A constant offset can be aligned; progressive drift requires investigating timing or duration differences.
Recording fixesScreen recording file too large: reduce it carefully
Reduce unnecessary duration, excessive dimensions and excessive bitrate in that order of editorial importance. Preserve enough detail for interface text to remain readable.
Recording fixesWhy a clear video looks blurry after upload
Compare the uploaded rendition with the local export after platform processing has finished. If only the published version is soft, inspect the platform’s current delivery requirements and the actual viewing size.
Recording fixesScreen recording has no audio: check the source first
First establish whether the recording contains an audio track. Then check capture permissions, selected input, track mute states and player volume. Microphone audio and application sound may use different capture paths.
Recording fixesFix distracting cursor movement in a product demo
Reduce unnecessary cursor movement during capture and use emphasis only when it clarifies an action. A pointer should guide attention, not become the main animation.
Recording fixesFix flickering text and thin lines in screen recordings
Find whether the flicker comes from the product itself, scaling between pixel grids or the encoded export. Thin lines and small text are particularly sensitive to resizing and motion.
Recording fixesFix a portrait demo that cuts off the product
A portrait export needs a deliberate composition. If essential controls are outside the crop, use a better source framing or a separate mobile recording rather than hiding the missing task behind captions.
Recording fixesWhy your product demo will not autoplay
Browsers can block autoplay, particularly when media includes audible playback. Design a visible play control and treat autoplay as an optional enhancement rather than the only way to view the demo.
Recording fixesFix a missing product video thumbnail
Check the poster URL independently from the video URL. A valid video file does not guarantee that its poster image exists, can be fetched or is displayed before playback.
Recording fixesScreen recording colours look wrong after export
Compare the source and export under the same viewing conditions before changing colours. Capture colour settings, conversion, display differences and player behaviour can all affect the appearance.
Recording fixesA demo video shows private data: replace it safely
Stop sharing the affected export, identify every place the data appears and replace the source with safe demo data where possible. A quick blur on one frame may miss the same information elsewhere.
Recording fixesShorten a product demo without losing the story
Shorten the number of ideas before accelerating the footage. Keep the problem, decisive action and visible result; remove repetition and navigation that does not help the viewer understand that chain.
