When this is useful
Names, email addresses, notifications, account menus and downloaded filenames can appear outside the main application panel. A demo review should inspect the entire frame and audio, including transitions and pauses.
Diagnose and fix the cause
- List the affected source files, edits, thumbnails and published copies. Restrict or remove the copies you control while preparing a corrected version.
- Re-record with synthetic data and disabled notifications when practical. If masking is necessary, track the covered region through every relevant frame and review the actual export at full size.
- Inspect captions, narration, metadata and poster images as well as pixels. Replacing the video alone may leave the information in a thumbnail or surrounding page text.
What this looks like in practice
An illustrative support demo may use a fictional ticket in the main pane but expose a real customer email in the sidebar. A close crop might remove it in one scene and reveal it during a zoom-out. A dedicated synthetic workspace avoids that repeated masking problem.
Limits and checks
Blurring does not undo prior disclosure or remove copies outside your control. This is a production containment workflow, not a claim that a particular legal or security obligation has been satisfied.
Your next step
Add a full-frame privacy pass to approval and use a clean demonstration environment for the next capture.
