Recording fixes / DEMOVELA FIELD GUIDE

Why a clear video looks blurry after upload

Compare the uploaded rendition with the local export after platform processing has finished. If only the published version is soft, inspect the platform’s current delivery requirements and the actual viewing size.

When this is useful

Social platforms may transcode an upload into several renditions. A feed can also display a lower-detail version under particular playback conditions. That does not necessarily mean the uploaded original was damaged, but the viewer’s experience is still what matters.

Diagnose and fix the cause

  1. Keep the local export and compare the same paused interface state with the published video. Avoid judging a compressed thumbnail as if it were the playing video.
  2. Check the destination’s current official upload guidance for accepted dimensions and formats. Export a short controlled test from the original source rather than recycling a downloaded social copy.
  3. Simplify the framing if small UI labels do not survive delivery. Use closer product evidence and shorter on-screen text, then test on the device and connection your audience is likely to use.
MAKE IT CONCRETE

What this looks like in practice

An illustrative full-dashboard recording may look sharp on a desktop monitor but lose fine table lines in a narrow feed. A separate scene focused on the relevant result can remain understandable even when the platform delivers fewer details.

Limits and checks

There is no universal “best social bitrate” that prevents all transcoding. Platform settings change, and increasing file size alone may not improve the delivered rendition.

Your next step

Approve the published test, not only the local master. Retain the master for a future export when platform requirements change.
