When this is useful
The ending needs a visible destination and enough time to read it. Avoid using a sudden new feature claim in the last frame. Keep the product name, next step and surrounding message consistent with the video the viewer just watched.
Adapt the script
- Choose a single next action. A teaser may invite exploration; a tutorial may point to the next step; an early-access product may require a waitlist.
- Write the CTA in task language. “Try this reporting workflow” gives more context than a generic “Learn more” when the destination supports it.
- Check the end card outside the edit. Make sure the product name, URL and any qualification remain legible on the target device.
Why these scenes belong together
A video showing a saved-search feature should lead to that feature or a relevant product page. Sending viewers to a generic signup page may still be appropriate, but the page should preserve enough context to continue the story.
Outro options to adapt
Illustrative copy to adapt. Replace bracketed fields and verify every claim against your product.
Limits and checks
Do not advertise access, discounts or functionality that the destination does not provide. Check the link after publication and update date-sensitive endings when the offer changes.
Your next step
Watch only the final five seconds and ask what action is expected. If the answer is unclear, simplify the end card before changing the animation.
