When this is useful
Choose a routine example such as reviewing a leave request or preparing an onboarding checklist. Salary, health, identification and performance information rarely belong in promotional footage. Prepare a dedicated dataset that remains safe even when the camera pans or a panel opens.
Plan the product story
- Set up a fictional profile with only the fields required for the task. Check secondary panels, search suggestions and notification previews for unintended data.
- Show the relevant role’s view. If the workflow changes from employee to manager, identify the transition rather than implying everyone sees the same controls.
- Keep the final state precise. Show an approved test request, a prepared checklist or a preview, depending on what the recording is authorised to do.
An illustrative workflow
A leave-request demo can show a fictional employee choosing dates and a manager reviewing the resulting request. The video can explain the role handoff without displaying real absence reasons or sending messages to employees.
Limits and checks
This production guide does not establish legal compliance or permission to process employee data. Use approved example material and your organisation’s review process for any real records.
Your next step
Review the source at full resolution before editing. It is easier to replace unsafe example data at capture than to track dozens of redactions through animated crops.
