When this is useful
Begin with the destination and the real app experience. A website preview, an in-feed ad and an app-store asset serve different jobs. Their publishing requirements can change, so check the destination’s current rules before final export. Keep the product demonstration separate from any decorative phone frame.
Choose the workflow
- Choose one mobile task. Confirm which menu, keyboard or gesture the viewer needs to understand. Capture the interface with the correct viewport before building the composition.
- Reserve space for overlays. Keep captions and branding away from the controls you need to show. Test the video with the destination’s surrounding interface, not only in an empty player.
- Check the exported preview on a phone. Read every required label at ordinary viewing size. Reframe or re-record any section that depends on enlarging the player to make sense.
A production example
For a responsive planning app, show opening the mobile menu, selecting a project and changing one task. A desktop sidebar cropped into a tall frame would describe a different interaction. The phone recording should show the navigation the user will actually encounter.
Limits and checks
Demovela’s current browser capture covers supported web products; it is not a native iOS or Android device recorder. Bring appropriate source footage when a native app is the subject.
Your next step
Write the exact platform and viewport into the brief, then make a proof export of the densest screen before producing the full promo.
