Customer support software demos that resolve a ticket

A customer-support software demo works best when it follows a ticket from context to a useful response or resolution state. The viewer should understand what the agent sees, what action they take and how the ticket changes.

When this is useful

Use a fictional support request that is short enough to read. Avoid a complicated conversation history unless that complexity is what the product helps manage. Keep internal notes and customer-visible replies clearly distinguished in the footage.

Plan the product story

  1. Prepare one representative ticket with non-sensitive information. Include the minimum context needed to understand the customer’s question.
  2. Show the assistance the product provides. This might be a suggested article, a reply draft, a routing decision or a view of related history.
  3. Finish at the authorised endpoint. A saved draft, resolved test ticket or preview is a valid ending if the video identifies it accurately.
MAKE IT CONCRETE

An illustrative workflow

A sample customer asks how to change a billing email. The demo shows locating the relevant help article and preparing a response. If no message is sent, the ending should describe a prepared reply rather than a completed customer interaction.

Limits and checks

Real support tickets often contain personal or confidential material. Reconstruct the task with approved example data instead of relying on blur over a live customer conversation.

Your next step

Check that viewers can distinguish internal context from the customer-facing response. Adjust labels and framing before turning the sequence into a teaser.
