Scripts / DEMOVELA FIELD GUIDE

Before-and-after demo script with comparable evidence

A before-and-after demo script needs comparable states. Keep the task, example data and relevant conditions stable, then explain the actual change. Without that continuity, the edit may suggest an improvement that the footage does not establish.

When this is useful

The comparison may show a changed interface, a saved configuration or a user action. It does not have to promise a measured business outcome. Label illustrative examples and make any important setup differences visible.

Adapt the script

  1. Choose one dimension of change. Compare the same task before and after the demonstrated action rather than two unrelated attractive screens.
  2. Show the action connecting the states. A short intervening scene often makes the comparison more credible than a dramatic split screen alone.
  3. Write the result precisely. Describe what changed in the view or workflow without inferring unmeasured savings.
MAKE IT CONCRETE

Why these scenes belong together

Both report scenes should show the same time range. If the “after” scene uses different dates or a different account, the video needs to explain that change instead of attributing everything to the filter.

Comparable-state script

Illustrative copy to adapt. Replace bracketed fields and verify every claim against your product.

Limits and checks

A visually cleaner screen is not evidence of better revenue, productivity or accuracy. Treat those as separate claims requiring separate support.

Your next step

Put the two source frames next to each other and list every changed condition. Remove unintended differences before building the final transition.
