Why it matters
The name describes a common region, not a requirement to cover exactly one third of the picture. In software footage, the bottom of the frame may contain a save button, timeline or confirmation message that must stay visible.
Apply the idea to product footage
- Choose one job for the graphic: identify a speaker, name a feature or supply brief context. Keep the text short enough to read without competing with the interface.
- Check contrast, type size and the destination’s own overlays. Position the graphic away from decisive controls and captions.
- Animate its entrance and exit with a stable reading hold. Remove it when it no longer helps the current scene.
A concrete example
An illustrative maker introduction could show “Mira — product designer” below the presenter, then remove that graphic before cutting to the application. A product scene could use a small feature label in another area if the lower region contains the action.
Limits and checks
Do not invent titles, affiliations or customer identities for credibility. A lower third is also not a substitute for accurate captions when speech needs to be communicated accessibly.
Your next step
Include long-name and mobile-layout examples in the template’s review set before reusing the graphic across a campaign.
