Use cases / DEMOVELA FIELD GUIDE

Startup launch videos before you have a video team

A startup launch video needs a clear product idea and credible proof more than a long feature list. Show one problem the product addresses, one representative workflow and one next action. The scope should fit the product you can demonstrate today.

When this is useful

Early products change quickly. Keep the original recording, editable copy and final exports separate so a renamed control does not force a complete creative restart. Avoid putting temporary prices, launch dates or unsupported roadmap features into every version.

Plan the product story

  1. Choose the smallest convincing workflow. Show the moment a user gets value, then add only the context needed to understand it.
  2. Make an evergreen main cut and a launch-specific variant. Keep date-sensitive messaging in replaceable titles or end cards.
  3. Review the first frame and final frame independently. Each may appear without the rest of the video in a feed, preview or shared link.
MAKE IT CONCRETE

An illustrative workflow

A startup offering shared bookmarks can show a person saving an item, adding it to a collection and finding it again through search. That is enough for a coherent launch story. An animated list of future integrations would distract from the working behaviour.

Limits and checks

An early-access invitation is different from general availability. Use the correct CTA, and keep prototype or illustrative screens labelled when they appear.

Your next step

Write a one-sentence launch claim and underline the words the recording proves. Remove or qualify the remaining words before choosing the visual style.

References and scope

Examples are illustrative production guidance, not measured customer results. General workflows are not promises of product compatibility. Read our editorial approach and current Demovela scope.
