Use cases / DEMOVELA FIELD GUIDE

Client demo videos for marketing agencies

For an agency, a client demo video is both a creative deliverable and an approval process. Agree on the product claim, source access and revision boundaries before editing. A consistent intake brief can save more rework than choosing the same template for every client.

When this is useful

Separate the client’s factual approvals from your editorial choices. The client should confirm feature behaviour, terminology and examples. Your team can propose pacing, framing and hierarchy. Put those decisions in one reviewable brief so feedback refers to the same version.

Plan the product story

  1. Collect a demo account or approved recordings, brand assets and a named reviewer. Confirm whether the footage may be shared publicly or only inside the client organisation.
  2. Create a scene map with the claim each shot supports. Send a rough sequence for factual review before adding detailed motion.
  3. Deliver an organised asset set. Include the approved exports, aspect ratios, copy version and source references, with a clear rule for future UI updates.
MAKE IT CONCRETE

An illustrative workflow

For a booking client, the agency can first approve a sequence showing availability, a test reservation and the resulting calendar entry. Once the behaviour is confirmed, it can create a website cut and a phone teaser from the same story, using appropriate footage for each.

Limits and checks

A reusable template does not grant rights to a client’s footage, music or logo. Keep the agreed usage scope with the asset record and avoid reusing identifiable client data in another project.

Your next step

Use the creative-brief guide to separate factual approval, style feedback and delivery requirements into three short review questions.
